Comic Cover Study

In the last couple of weeks i have been trying to find a better workflow for my comic work, it seems that i am most comfortable drawing in grayscale and later adding color on top. you can see the subtle differences between the left “original” and the right “my own”. i stripped everything but the hair and outline from the original and added forms by painting in grayscale, later i have used a nice color trick that pior showed me. and voila! in some ways it looks a little bit more realistic, but if this was a paid gig i would clean up the dark areas that you can see around the breasts.
