			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This year we had another surrealistic gathering at GGJ 2010,<a href="http://globalgamejam.org/2011/fuckin-bunnies"> in just 32 hours we created a funny bunny game.</a></p>
<p>The purpose of the game is to kill all the bunnies but the way to do it is to pickup the Green poison bottles and poison the carrots using the &#8216;E&#8217; key. bunnies that eat poison carrots become zombie bunnies and proceed to eat other bunnies. if you dont kill the bunnies they multiply very quickly. <a title="bunnies" href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2722632/fbunnies/WebPlayer.html">The game can be played here</a>!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jeremy and I were introduced a couple of years back through a mutual friend, and together we worked on<a href="http://oricohen.com/?p=94"> full contact debate</a> (PC) &amp;  <a href="http://oricohen.com/?p=126">skyline blade</a> a 3D iphone game. a few months back Jeremy finished writing his first book, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Game-Programming-All-One/dp/1435454782">iphone 3D game programming all in one</a>, where he mentioned me, and it says <strong>&#8220;Thank you Ori Cohen for helping me produce Skyline Blade, when that game finally hit the store i saw the light at the end of the tunnel&#8221; </strong>. this sentence goes both ways, skyline blade was the first iphone game i have ever worked on, and the first i have helped finish, it only took 2 weeks of intense work and i have learned heaps about iphone 3D game art optimizations. so, thank you Jeremy <img src='http://oricohen.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>These top view Sprite animation were made for CrazyWare (i used photoshop to make this an animated gif), the game is a 2D pre-rendered Dungeon game.  the remarkable thing is that the engine was built in house. the rendering goes like this, the stone man is rendered with a diffuse+normal+specular to create the diffuse look. in addition we add a normal light rig and render the stone-man with a pure white material+normal map. inside the engine itself they overlay both versions, and by adding Lights to the environment they can actually simulate traditional normal map lighting behavior from 2D textures. incredible!</p>

<p>Brief Play Description:</p>

<p>player 1, the evil pigeon master, controls 4  pigeons using number keys (1 to 4). He can also make deceiving maneuvers  to confuse his opponent, using the shift key with a corresponding  number key.<br />
Player 2, a mad car owner, controls a deadly broom-rifle, with which he  can shoot pigeons while they are airborne. The broom-rifle is controlled  by the mouse.</p>
<p>The evil pigeons master tries to shit the car until it&#8217;s worthless,  while the mad car owner tries to kill all pigeons. It a fight to the  death!&#8221;</p></div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>i was very happy to find out a few months back that someone is using my <a title="RTS Pack" href="http://www.garagegames.com/products/rtscreatures" target="_blank">RTS pack</a> for a silverlight book named &#8220;<a title="game programming with silverlight" href="http://www.amazon.com/Game-Programming-Silverlight-Michael-Snow/dp/1598639064/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1246293380&amp;sr=8-1" target="_blank">game programming with silver</a><a title="game programming with silverlight" href="http://www.amazon.com/Game-Programming-Silverlight-Michael-Snow/dp/1598639064/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1246293380&amp;sr=8-1" target="_blank">light</a>&#8220;. this morning i was utterly surprised to see that not only did i make it into the book, but my Stone Man and rts advertisement are on the front and cover, i would like to thank the author Mike Snow for that.</p>
<p>one of the things mike did was to take the <a title="RTS Pack" href="http://www.garagegames.com/products/rtscreatures" target="_blank">RTS pack</a> which is a 3D pack in its essence and generate sprite sheets out of it using a cool tool called <a href="http://www.envygames.com/content/?page_id=65">SpriteWorks</a> that allows you to generate sprites from 3D Models and their animation files. note that Silverlight does not yet support 3D models.</p>
<p>i would like to stress that this is a very cost effective way of getting many characters and animations. we all know that making 2D sprite art is a PITA. one other thing that people should know is that any biped animation for torque, whether it came from another pack, or the stock orc animations is usually compatible with all the characters that use a 3DS Max biped. this is realy is the quickest and painless choice for sprite animation. its not only forSilverlight, it will basically run on any 2D engine, whether flash, Torque 2D, iTorque etc..</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the last couple of weeks i have been trying to find a better workflow for my comic work, it seems that i am most comfortable drawing in grayscale and later adding color on top. you can see the subtle differences between the left &#8220;original&#8221; and the right &#8220;my own&#8221;. i stripped everything but the hair and outline from the original and added forms by painting in grayscale, later i have used a nice color trick that pior showed me. and voila! in some ways it looks a little bit more realistic, but if this was a paid gig i would clean up the dark areas that you can see around the breasts.</p>
